Dead Links

Simply speaking, dead link refers the link which was normal and then become invalid. When sending the request, the server returns to the 404 Page.

 The following situations will cause dead link:

1. Dynamic link which is not supported by the database becomes dead link.
2. The file or the page was moved which causes its link becomes dead link.
3.  The content of the page was changed into another link, then the original link becomes dead link.
4. Web server settings are wrong.

As a SEOer or webmaster, we should avoid the emergence of dead links.
