Google Buzz introduction

On February 10, 2010 Google announced its new product called Google Buzz. This shows that Google is attempting to hitch its wagon to the popularity of social networking, especially the growth of social sharing and status updates.

Google Buzz has such six functions just as its official site shows:

1. Share publicly or privately, that is, publish your ideas to the world just to your closest friends.

2. Inbox integration. Comments get sent right to your inbox so it’s easy to keep the conversation going.

3. Photo friendly. See thumbnails with each post and browse full-screen photos from popular sites.

4. Connect sites you already use. Import your stuff from Twitter, Picasa, Flickr and Google Reader.

5. See updates in real time. New posts and comments pop in as they happen. No refresh required.

6. Just the good stuff. Buzz recommends interesting.

For visitors who cannot use Twitter in their countries, Google Buzz will be their best choice.

Last week, Google offered the following five tips for using Buzz better:

1. Format your posts

2. View a summary of you own Buzz activity

3. Use an @reply to send a post directly to someone’s inbox

4. Try keyboard shortcuts to fly through buzz

5. Mute posts so they don’t get sent to your inbox.

You can find details on how to accomplish them here.

Today, they are offering another five tips:

1. Post by Email

2. Prevent your boring chat status messages from being posted to Buzz

3. Look for the yellow line to see what’s new.

4. Link to a post

5. Follow the Buzz team in Google Buzz.
