How to optimize your meta tags?

This morning, Elly asked a question to me about what should be paid attention to when optimizing meta tags. Actually, I have summaried several related tips before. Here is the list:

1. Always focus on the page topic. That is to say each page should have its own title, meta keywords and description.

2. keep the right length

Title: about 50 characters are enough.

Keywords:  this tag drives little attention from search engines, so putting 3 to 4 keywords is enough.

Description: the usual suggested length is about 200 characters.

3. Keep a reasonable keywords density

Title: 1 -2 times

Keywords: 1 -2 times

Description: 4 times
