Conflict in May 30 during Shanghai World Expo

May 26, South Korea Pavilion received its “National Pavilion Day” and launched a series of traditional Korean cultural performances at the Expo Center. In the next four days, visitors to Shanghai Expo could enjoy a lot of shows during the “South Korea Week”, among which the “South Korean classical and pop concert” at Expo Cultural Centre attracted most people’s attention especially for those South Korea stars’ fans as most famous Super Junior, KANGTA, BoA and other popular stars would attend the concert.

It is reported that the ticket for this show would not sell to the public. Visitors can get the concert ticket with expo ticket for free in the west door of the Expo Cultural Centre in May 30. It was learned that the total amount of ticket is 5000 while the actual issued amount is 2500 or so because some tickets will be assigned to South Korean visitors. The fans who didn’t get the ticket were getting crazy and the strong emotion led to the occurrence of violence. The incident caused some casualties. An armed police said that this is his first time to see such a “crazy” situation in the World Expo since the park was opened.
